Our events system helps you organise and manage real-world training, including face-to-face and online sessions. It allows organisers to:
Create and schedule events
Manage registrations
Track attendance and outcomes
Setting up a new event involves:
Identifying the topic
Selecting a trainer
Choosing a location
Once these elements are decided, you’re ready to create the event.
⚠️Important: To create and manage events, you'll need access to the events editor and relevant permissions. To request this, raise a new case.
Create an Event
Sign in to the Platform.
Click Events.
Click the cog
Next to Events, click
Under Organiser, enter your name, and select it when it appears.
Under Event Type, enter the event type, and select it when it appears.
Check out this guide to create a new event type.
Under Trainer, enter the trainer name, and select it when it appears.
Check out this guide to create a new trainer.
Click Next.
Next to Online, turn the toggle on if it's an online event.
Under Venue, enter the venue name, and select it when it appears.
Check out this guide to create a new venue.
Enter the minimum and maximum number of attendees in the boxes provided.
If the meeting is online, under Online ID enter the online ID or meeting link for attendees to join.
Click Next.
Fill out the optional requirements and click Next.
Enter the date and time of the event in the fields provided. You can add multiple dates and times for the event by clicking on Add.
Click Publish.
The event will now appear on the events calendar and is now available for bookings.
Add attendees to an event
You can directly book users onto an event if you need to. Follow the steps on how to do this.
Sign in to the Platform.
Click Events.
Click the cog
Next to Events, Click
Locate the event and click on it.
Click Add Attendees.
Enter the attendee's name.
Click Confirm.
Manage event outcomes for attendees
Outcomes represent the current status of an attendee. You can manage and update an attendee's outcome at any time. These include canceled, not attending, attending, attended, passed, or failed.
📌Note: If an outcome of Pass is added, it will trigger a training record to be added to a user account and reflect on the reports if configured on the system.
Sign in to the Platform.
Click Events.
Click the cog
Next to Events, click
Locate the event and click on it.
Click on an attendee's outcome box and select the outcome.
You can also select more than one attendee by ticking the boxes next to each, then clicking on the Select Outcome box to make your selection.
Click Confirm.
Edit an Event
Sign in to the Platform.
Click Events.
Click the cog
Next to Events, click
Locate the Event and click the 3 dots next to it.
You can then edit, add or remove attachments, see the waiting list, or cancel the event.
