Manage notifications preferences

This article explains how to manage notification settings for appraisals, courses, events, bookshelf, news, and surveys.

Our notification management tool lets you control how notifications are sent in each area of the platform, improving your communication strategy and boosting user engagement.

Manage Notifications For

  • Courses: Resets, allocations, certificates, and renewals.

  • Events: Allocations.

  • Bookshelf: Allocations.

  • News: Allocations and tags.

  • Surveys: Allocations.

  • Appraisals: Allocations and updates by employee or manager.


Preferences explained

  • Feed: Receives a notification under the bell icon or in messages on the platform.

  • Email: Receives an email if users have one entered in their account details.

  • Mobile: Receives a push notification on the App.


Padlock icon

The padlock icon next to each setting controls whether users can change their notification preferences:

  • Padlock On: Users can’t change their settings.

  • Padlock Off: Users can adjust their settings.

📌Note: By default, notifications are locked to company preferences until the padlock is unlocked.


Turn notifications on and off

You can toggle notifications on or off to choose which updates you receive by email, in the mobile app, or on the platform. Follow these steps to manage your preferences.

⚠️Important: Only admins with Admin Tool access can manage notification settings. If access is required, raise a new support case to request this.

  1. From the Admin Tool, click Notifications.

  2. Click Preferences.

  3. From the list that appears, pick the area you want to amend notifications.

  4. Use the toggle icon next to each preference to turn the notifications on or off.

  5. Click Save.
