We are pleased to answer the demand for Oliver McGowan eLearning content which is now available on the eLearning For You platform.

If you would like Oliver McGowan added to your course list there are some things to note before you request it.

During our testing of the course, we have been able to replicate two areas we want to highlight to your organisation:

  1. The course is not mobile responsive to smaller screen sizes, for example, 5.4 inches the iPhone mini. This is because the user will have to move the screen side to side to see all the content. With screens that are 6.06 inches and more, for example, the iPhone 14 the content sizes are better for the screen.

  2. On the iPhone, an error screen will appear if we've set two videos off at the same time. It's possible to reload the course and resume in that lesson or possibly the lesson just beforehand.

We have highlighted these concerns to e-LfH and are supporting them with their investigations. If you are happy to proceed with the awareness of these issues, please follow the instructions below.

This eLearning module is not the "complete" Oliver McGowan, it is just Part 1. It is an excellent introduction for all (regardless of nation) on LD and Autism. For more details on how to complete part 2 of the Oliver McGowan, please see https://www.hee.nhs.uk/our-work/learning-disability/current-projects/oliver-mcgowan-mandatory-training-learning-disability-autism and speak with your Local Authority for help to find training.
