The new Health and Social Care induction program is intended to be used alongside company inductions and doesnโ€™t replace the Care Certificate.

The new Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate qualification is based on the same 15 standards that make up the Care Certificate. The difference is that it goes further into knowledge checks and is expected to take 6-8 months to complete.


Learning and development teams should check with your apprenticeship or qualification provider for more details, as it could form part of another qualification. Whichever provider you work with, the eLearning content should be mapped to the requirements laid out by the awarding organisation.

Learners should always seek guidance from line managers regarding their employer's training requirements.
