Course not launching

In this article, we'll take you through some common reasons why a course won't launch and how to overcome this.

If you're experiencing a blank page or the course is non-responsive after launching the course, there are some things you can try.

Disable pop-up blockers

A course may not launch if it opens in a new tab but is blocked by pop-up blockers. Disable them before starting the course. See below for the official support pages for help with pop-up blocker settings depending on which one you use.

IOS devices

  1. On your IOS device, go to Settings.

  2. Go to Safari.

  3. Toggle off Block pop-ups.

  4. Go back to the app and launch the course as normal.

Android devices

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.

  2. To the right of the address bar, tap More and then Settings.

  3. Tap Permissions, then Pop-ups, and then redirects.

  4. Tap Turn off Pop-ups and redirects.

  5. Go back to the app and launch the course as normal.


Connectivity

Ensure you're connected to a stable WiFi network. Poor connectivity can affect loading and saving.


Ensure you have the latest version of the mobile app

Close browser tabs and clear your browsing history

Close open browser tabs or other apps you have open in the background of your device. You could also clear your browser history and cache, our handy article takes you through the process step by step.


Re-add the course to the learner's account

If the course remains blank, admins with access to the Admin Tool can remove the course from an account and re-add it.

Remove the course

First mark the course complete, then reset and remove the course.

  1. Sign in to the Admin Tool.

  2. Click Employees.

  3. Search for the user and click their name to open their record.

  4. Click Products.

  5. Click Courses.

  6. Locate the course, then click the toggle icon next to it.

  7. Click Mark Complete and enter the date, then click Save.

  8. Click Reset and Remove, then click OK.

Re-add the course

Next, re-add the course. This ensures the newest version of the course is added.

  1. Click Add products.

  2. Locate the course in the list and tick the box next to it, then click OK.

  3. Click OK.

  4. Advise the user to launch the course as normal from their account.
