There are several reasons why users may be missing a course or encounter incorrect course allocations. You can check they are accessing the correct URL and also that their job role and site assignment are correct to ensure the right courses are allocated and make amendments to courses unrelated to their role or site.
Correct website URL
First, check that the correct website URL is being used: elearningforyou.cplonline.co.uk or your company’s branded URL if applicable.
Automatic course allocation
Courses are automatically assigned to users when their account is created, and are based on the user’s job role and site location. If the incorrect job role or site is assigned to a user they'll not have the correct courses assigned to them. Additionally, if more course topics are needed, your company’s course allocation settings may need to be reviewed and amended.
Has the correct job role or site been assigned?
If a user has the wrong job role or site, update their details to ensure they’re assigned the correct courses for their position and location. Once updated, they will automatically be assigned the correct courses.
What to do next if the correct job role or site has been assigned
If a user is missing a mandatory course linked to their job role or site, first check with your learning and development team or head office for guidance. If you’re responsible for managing training allocations, review the automatic course allocation rules to ensure the missing course is included.
If resolving the issue at your level isn’t possible, contact your Area Manager or Contract Manager who can help address and rectify the allocation concerns.
Adding a one-off course
To add a course to a single user outside of the automatic course allocation, check with your learning and development team or head office first. If you’re part of the team responsible for training, you can allocate a one-off course to individual users
