For an eLearning course to be marked complete by a training record, the two must be linked. Follow the steps below to check and resolve the issue.

Check that the course is linked to the training record

The first thing to do is check that the training record is linked to the course so that it marks the course complete when the training record is added.

  1. From the Admin Tool, click Config.

  2. Click Training Record.

  3. Find the training record, then click on the link icon next to it

  4. You'll be shown the titles of the eLearning courses that the training record stamps complete.

Course not linked? That’s why the course isn’t being marked complete. Follow this guide to link it.

The training record is linked to the course

If the training record is set up to mark the course complete, but it hasn't marked it complete yet, there are some things to check.

Wait for it to sync

Allow 2 hours for the system to update.

📌Tip: Check the last update time in the top-left corner of the reporting suite.

Check the training record details

  • The outcome must exactly spell Pass.

  • The training record must be active.

  • Ensure the start and end dates are correct.

  • Future training dates won't mark courses complete.

Was the course assigned to the user first?

The course must have been assigned before the training record was created. If not, you’ll need to add a new training record, as editing an existing one won’t work.

Still not working?

If you've checked everything and the course still isn’t marked complete, raise a case, and we'll investigate.
